Easter Celebrations

Tarahumaras Easter Celebrationsare very intense and not easy to comprehend. They divide into two groups: Soldiers with spears and arrows and Farasis who carry the figure of Judas. They run around the church for four days accompanied by the rhythm of beating drums.The celebrations culminate with a wrestling match between the two groups. Whoever wins will keep the figure of Judas.
