For Tarahumaras drinking Tesquino -weak corn beer- is a social activity that brings their community together, either when they need extra hands on working projects or during pagan/christian festivities. Tarahumaras regard their beer as sacred. It is during Tesquinadas that very shy people meet, dance, play music and exchange stories.
